About UsCreating connections from the ground up

We believe in the power of wind. Not just as an important, efficient source of energy, but as a powerful way to make a positive impact in local communities. And that starts with cultivating personal relationships with landowners.

At the kitchen table. In the field. At the community center. We meet folks where they’re at to find the best solutions for each and every project. At PRC Wind, a project is a success when it’s a wind-win for everyone involved.

Our History 25 years of powering communities

We’ve been hard at work developing renewable energy projects since 1997. In our 25 years of experience, we’ve partnered with local landowners and energy companies to deliver nearly 3 GW of utility-scale projects. And with another 1.5 GW in the pipeline, we’re just getting started.

1998

PRC Wind delivers development & construction management services

Primarily engages with enXco as exclusive central US wind project development team

Develops 2,000 MW project pipeline for enXco

2005

PRC Wind begins self-developing, owning and operating small-scale Minnesota projects

2011

PRC Wind completes construction of its 25.3 MW Ridgewind Project in Murray County, Minnesota and owns and operates it until 2021.

2013

PRC Wind expands its strategy to include the self-development of utility-scale Midwest projects

2019

In addition to self-development, PRC Wind offers development services consulting, working with clients on utility-scale renewable energy projects through Development Service Agreements.

2020

PRC Wind partners with a new client on a repower of a utility-scale wind farm.

2021

PRC Wind sells the successful Ridgewind project to finalize the move away from owning and operating assets. This cements the PRC Wind strategy to work with energy companies and landowner communities on developing utility-scale renewable energy projects.

2022

Northern Wind repower project constructed and operational with support from PRC Wind

2023

Red Barn project constructed and operational with support from PRC Wind
